Education

The most important step for inclusion of persons with disabilities is to become educated.

Henry will meet with your planning, development and creative staff to present his program "Attitudes Are the Real Disability".  This workshop provides an in-depth and historical look at how the public has perceived disabled people through the eyes of mass media.  Henry provides numerous clips and examples of how persons with disabilities have been portrayed in many different media situations.  He also talks about his own experiences as a young actor seeking opportunities and provides outstanding details on the most effective, appropriate and acceptable way to work through the stigmas.

Motivation

It's one thing to talk about experiences.  It's quite another to move people to take action.  Henry Holden is a consummate motivator.  Throughout his program, Henry motivates his clients to be agents of change through humor, realistic examples, strategic tools and practical tactics in order to accomplish change.

Information

Over the years, many of Henry's clients have said that part of the reason they did not move toward inclusion earlier was they simply did not have the right information.  Henry provides his clients with facts and case scenarios of inclusion programs which have failed and those which have succeeded.  During his on-going consultations, Henry provides ideas, feedback and direction as to the most acceptable way to implement inclusion.  Whether the assignment is to incorporate persons with disabilities in a news program, print ad, television commercial or movie, Henry is on board to ensure all parties are 'correct' in their approach and presenting the information in the most appropriate manner, while conforming to legislation and standards as set by the industry.
