Obtaining an Audience:

The BEST way - A Captive Audience!

How to do this:  Contact professors and encourage them to:

bulletAssign their classes to the lecture for extra credit
bulletMake it a mandatory requirement
bulletInvite the speaker into their class or combine classes for the presentation

Other ways:  What activities reach a large population of students?

bulletBands - Have a comedian with a disability open up for the band
bulletFreshman Orientation
bulletCommencement Exercises

What Departments does disability fit into?

Sociology, Psychology, Communication, Journalism, Theater, History, English, Athletics, Business, Special Education, Nursing, Recreation Therapy, Media Studies ......

Coming Home, Simon Burch, Theory of Flight, My Left Foot, Rainman, Born on the 4th of July, Scent of a Woman, Best Years of our Lives, At First Sight

    Theater on Campus

Wheelchair basketball, wheelchair races, skiing, bowling, horseback riding
